Bradford City Fire

A minute's silence will be held at the start of all Premier League and Football League games on the weekend of 25 and 26 April to mark the 30th anniversary of the Bradford City fire.

Fifty-six fans, including two from visitors Lincoln City, died in a fire in Valley Parade's main stand on 10 May 1985.

The fire was started by a lit cigarette dropped under the all-wooden stand. The date coincides with Bradford's last home match of the season.

Football is BACK!

While International football can provide the odd thriller more often than not the sheer gulf in class turns out drubbings with teams like Germany turning over the likes of San Marino with ease. The Premier League however is more of a level playing field and as such returns more exciting games and while there is sometimes a cricket score game it is usually because of great skill rather than lack of skill. This is why the vast majority of football fans dislike international breaks as its no fun to watch games as a neutral when you know the result but in domestic football a result is never guaranteed!
